The raillery on the forum at the SkyscraperPage gets a bit off-topic from time to time, but this site is essential reading for all things "development" in Victoria (the link takes you to the Western Provinces forum page; find "Victoria development" or other Victoria-related threads and read on...)

SkyscraperCity also has a "Western Provinces" page and a "Victoria" thread, but it's less active.

Vibrant Victoria is a new site with a greatforum. Some threads on theforum can be viewed by anyone, others are available only to registered users.

Two groups are trying to get some active thinking happening around public transit, specifically light rail transit. See Island Transformations but more especially Victoria Tramways.

Go to any tourism site to see the not-quite-real Victoria, but take a look at this site for the Real Victoria.

See the University of Victoria pages on Victoria's Victoria for lots of interesting micro-histories covering the "Victorian" period (i.e., the time of Britain's Queen Victoria's reign, 1837-1900).

The University of Victoria and the Maltwood Museum and Art Gallery present Modern Architecture in Victoria including sections on urban planning and the modernist UVic campus.
